How to take measurements
For the correctly sized product, take a measuring tape and refer to the chart when submitting measurements.
Do NOT add or subtract from your measurements; all adjustments in the final design are taken into consideration.
If you don't own a measuring tape, you can use non-stretching yarn or string to take measurements and measure it with a ruler, for example.
Neck circumference
Measuring your neck circumference is a simple process. Here's how you can do it:
1. Ensure that your neck is free from clothing and hair that could interfere with the measurement.
2. Stand up straight with your shoulders relaxed and your head facing forward. Avoid tilting your head up or down, as this can affect the accuracy of the measurement.
3. Find the base of your neck, just below the larynx and above the shoulders.
4. Take a flexible measuring tape and wrap it around your neck. Position the tape so that it sits just below the larynx and above the shoulders. Make sure the tape is level and not twisted.
5. Gently pull the ends of the measuring tape until it feels snug around your neck, but not so tight that it digs into your skin. You should be able to fit one finger between your neck and the tape.
6. Hold the end of the measuring tape in place and read the measurement where the end of the tape meets the rest of it. This is your neck circumference.
7. For the most accurate measurement, it's a good idea to repeat the process a couple of times to ensure consistency.
Bust circumference
2. Stand in a relaxed posture with your arms down by your sides.
3. **Position the Measuring Tape**: Have your assistant (if possible) position the measuring tape around your body. The tape should rest horizontally around your back, right under your shoulder blades.
4. **Measure Around the Fullest Part of Your Bust**: Bring the tape around your body and across the fullest part of your bust. Make sure the tape is parallel to the ground and not too tight or too loose. It should gently hug your body without compressing the breast tissue.
5. **Take the Measurement**: Once the tape is in position and feels comfortable, take note of the measurement where the end of the tape meets the rest of it. Ensure the tape is level all the way around.
6. For the most accurate measurement, it's a good idea to repeat the process a couple of times to ensure consistency.
7. Write down or remember the measurement you've obtained.
Underbust Circumference
1. It's best to measure your underbust while wearing a comfortable, unpadded bra or no bra at all. This ensures that the measurement isn't skewed by bulky clothing or padding.
2. Stand in a relaxed posture with your arms down by your sides. Standing straight ensures an accurate measurement.
3. Hold one end of the measuring tape at the center of your chest, just below your breast tissue, where your bra band would typically sit. Ensure the tape is parallel to the ground and positioned snugly against your skin, but not too tight that it digs into your flesh.
4. **Wrap the Tape Around Your Body**: Bring the tape around your body, keeping it parallel to the ground, until it meets the starting point at the center of your chest. The tape should rest just below your breast tissue and above your ribcage, in the crease where your breasts meet your chest.
5. **Ensure Comfort and Accuracy**: Make sure the measuring tape is positioned comfortably and securely around your underbust. It should feel snug but not constricting. Double-check that the tape is parallel to the ground and not twisted.
6. Once the tape is in position, take note of the measurement where the end of the tape meets the rest of it. This measurement represents the circumference of your underbust.
7. For the most accurate measurement, it's a good idea to repeat the process a couple of times to ensure consistency.
Waist Circumference
1. Wear tight-fitting clothing or go without clothing around your waist area to get the most accurate measurement.
2. Find your natural waistline. This is typically the narrowest part of your torso, above your belly button and below your ribcage.
3. Stand up straight with your feet together and your arms at your sides. Relax your abdomen and don't suck in your stomach.
4. Take a flexible measuring tape and wrap it around your waist. Make sure the tape is level and parallel to the ground. It should sit snugly against your skin but not compress your flesh.
5. Hold the end of the measuring tape in place at your natural waistline, and wrap it around your body. Ensure that the tape is snug but not too tight. Keep it parallel to the ground all the way around your waist.
6. Take note of the measurement where the end of the tape meets the rest of it. This is your waist circumference.
7. For the most accurate measurement, it's a good idea to repeat the process a couple of times to ensure consistency.
Hips Circumference
1. Wear tight-fitting clothing (not compressing) or go without clothing around your hip area for the most accurate measurement.
2. Stand up straight with your feet together. Your weight should be evenly distributed on both feet, and your arms should be at your sides.
3. Find the widest part of your hips. This is typically around the fullest part of your buttocks.
4. Take a flexible measuring tape and wrap it around your hips. Make sure the tape is parallel to the ground and positioned over the fullest part of your buttocks.
5. Ensure that the measuring tape is level all the way around your hips. It should be snug against your skin but not so tight that it digs in.
6. Hold the end of the measuring tape in place and read the measurement where the end of the tape meets the rest of it. This is your hip circumference.
7. For the most accurate measurement, it's a good idea to repeat the process a couple of times to ensure consistency.
